Job Description


  • Support updates and upgrades to program networks to address obsolescence, vulnerabilities, technology insertion/demonstration, expansion, or system resiliency.

  • Ensure the appropriate operational network posture is maintained.

  • Assist and advise on the engineering, design, integration and delivery of government and/or commercially provided services in support of program data requirements.

  • Work with government communications service providers (DISA, IC, AFSPC Networks) and commercial service providers (CenturyLink, AT&T, Verizon) for ordering and delivery of services, understanding of their technology roadmaps, and management of program 

  • Service Level Agreements.


Requirements


  • Top Secret clearance required; w/SCI is preferred.

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Network Engineering, or a related discipline.

  • 2+ years of relevant network experience.

  • DoD 8570 IAT Level II Certification.

  • CCNA or CCNP Certification.

  • VMWare, Palo Alto and Active Directory experience.

  • Strong technical background in communication, network protocols, and network management.

  • Understanding of OSI Model, with emphasis on Physical, Data Link, Network, Transport and Session layers.

  • Knowledge of network design (e.g. LAN/WAN, routing protocols, routers) and protocols (e.g., IPv4, BGP, MPLS , VPN, IPSec, DNS), Multicast routing.

  • Layer 2 equipment, protocol and technology (switches, LACP, STP, VLANs)

  • Preferred - working knowledge of Department of Defense mission, activities and terms.

  • Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with members of a diverse military and civilian team.

  • Experience with Ansible Tool is preferred.
