Opportunity Description
Position Overview
The Cyber Analyst Intern will support cybersecurity assessments, test events, and
evaluation activities. This role is ideal for transitioning military personnel with a
foundational understanding of cybersecurity principles, system architecture, and
technical analysis. The intern will work closely with experienced Cyber Analysts to
ensure mission objectives are met while gaining hands-on experience with cyber test
design and execution.
Skills Required:
Strong foundational knowledge of cybersecurity concepts.
Basic understanding of system and network architecture.
Familiarity with Microsoft Office programs (e.g., Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
Primary Responsibilities:
Assist in designing, developing, and recommending integrated security solutions to protect sensitive data and systems.
Participate in the planning and execution of cyber Operational Test and Evaluation (OT&E) events.
Support program-specific cyber tabletops and external events.
Conduct preliminary analysis of technical engineering components to identify potential vulnerabilities and attack vectors under supervision.
Help prepare reports and presentations for senior-level stakeholders.
Collaborate with the team to translate technical configurations into assessment objectives.
Contribute to technical documentation, including test plans, procedures, and after-action reports.
Qualifications:
Required
U.S. Citizen with an active Secret clearance (or higher) or ability to obtain one.
3+ years of relevant military experience in cybersecurity, systems engineering, or IT-related fields.
Strong interest in cybersecurity assessment and evaluation.
Familiarity with cybersecurity best practices, tools, and frameworks.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Preferred
U.S. Top Secret clearance (or higher).
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in computer science,
Cybersecurity, or related fields.
Industry certifications such as Security+, Network+, or CEH.
Experience with Navy networks (e.g., IT-21, CANES) or systems (aviation, submarine, surface ships).
Exposure to Test and Evaluation (T&E) processes.
