We are searching for an experienced Senior Training Data / Reporting Analyst to support the Navy's Surface Warfare Schools Command in the execution of their mission to "ready sea bound warriors to serve on surface combatants as officers, enlisted engineers, and enlisted navigation professionals in order to fulfill the Navy's mission to maintain global maritime superiority." As a Senior Training Data / Reporting Analyst, you will play a crucial role in collecting and analyzing surface warfare training and professional development data to define the training requirements, predict training outcomes, and provide insights to determine operational impact, trends, and opportunities to ensure surface warfighting proficiency.  This is a tremendous opportunity to take the next step in your career while supporting U.S. national security.


Responsibilities


  • Apply analytic techniques such as optimization, simulation, machine learning, statistical analysis, and multi-objective decision analysis to deliver solutions and inform Navy Training leadership decisions.

  • Coordinate with SWSC instructors and academic leads to conduct research, collaborate with Navy training leadership, develop models, prepare visualizations, and analyze and interpret qualitative and quantitative data.

  • Develop briefs, documentation, and presentations to inform Navy Training leadership decisions.

  • Ability to work 100% at the Surface Warfare Schools Command in Newport, RI.


Education/Qualifications


Required:

  • High School diploma.

  • U.S. Dept. of Defense active SECRET clearance.

  • 12+ years of military and/or professional experience.

  • Proficient with MS PowerPoint to create high level briefs with imbedded graphics and charts.

  • Experience preparing and presenting senior leadership briefings and papers.

  • Experience leveraging scientific methods to inform qualitative and quantitative analyses.

  • Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Proficient with Power BI utilizing SQL database.

  • Proficient with MS Excel.

  • Proficient with SharePoint Online.


Preferred:

  • Data Analytic Reporting and/or Operations Research experience.

  • Former Naval Officer / Senior Enlisted or experience with and understanding of U.S. Navy training processes.

  • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Operations Research or Applied Mathematics.
