Opportunity Description
Responsibilities:
Designing and developing predictive models to support Navy operational readiness.
Analyzing diverse datasets to identify trends and reduce mishap risk.
Supporting optimization initiatives that impact cost savings and mission success.
Collaborating with analysts and developers to create dashboards and data visualizations.
Applying machine learning techniques and statistical models to safety, logistics, or operational data.
Interpreting and communicating findings to technical and non-technical audiences.
Education/Qualifications:
Active DoD Secret clearance (or higher), with ability to maintain.
A Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
4+ years of hands-on experience with data analytics or engineering in any military or civilian setting.
Familiarity with databases (SQL, Oracle, AWS/Azure environments).
Experience with data visualization using tools like Power BI, Tableau, or R Shiny.
Programming experience in Python, R, SQL, or similar languages.
Understanding of machine learning methods such as logistic regression, decision trees, and neural networks.
