Description:
Electronics Assembler will be responsible for assembling electronics components. Assembler reads and interprets instructions, assembles parts, and fits electronic assemblies and subassemblies together. Assemblers work an 8 hour shift with hand tools and electrical or electronic components (cables, connectors, wires, and circuit boards). This role requires reading technical drawings and following repetitive production standards. Other job functions will include testing products before they are packaged and keeping maintaining records.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Follow manufacturing process instructions including drawings, blueprints, technical specifications, work orders, and basic circuit diagrams
Perform manual assembly during the small-scale production of electronic components used in military systems and medical equipment
Light mechanical assembly of electronic components
Use hand and bench tools to assemble electronic components (measure, cut, crimp, splice, solder, wire strip, wrap, apply adhesive, and terminate)
Visually check subassemblies and assemblies for completeness/correctness
Perform tests on finished products before packaging
Complete records, production logs and record time
Maintain a clean and safe workspace
Additional manufacturing tasks as assigned
Required Qualifications:
High School diploma, GED certificate, or equivalent education
Mechanical aptitude and the ability to follow directions and read drawings
Manual dexterity and ability to work with hand tools
Ability to communicate effectively, follow instructions, and meet deadlines
Ability to understand verbal and written instructions and focus on attention to detail
Ability to comprehend and apply modern fabrication and assembly techniques and machine shop practices
Ability to stand, sit, bend for an 8 hour shift
Ability to lift up to 20 pounds
Consent to a background check
Previous assembly experience preferred, but not required
